Welcome to another summer season at GLP! The Memorial Day weekend weather was a mix of sun and clouds, but nothing seemed to dampen the spirits of all the GLPers returning "home" to open up their houses, take down the shutters, sweep the porch, dig out a spot for the beach steps, and walk the Boardwalk again, greeting old friends, and meeting new ones. There were a fair number of hearty souls on the beach ( in bathing suits!) and in the water. The older I get, the later my entry into the beautiful waters of the Sound. At the rate I'm going, another few years and it may be September before I stick a toe in. Someone (or many) built a wonderful sand castle that was enjoyed by everyone that passed by. Unfortunately, I did not have my camera with me, and this cell phone picture doesn't do it justice, but it gives you an idea. Thanks!
